The master’s program welcomes graduates from education-related fields who wish to deepen their professional knowledge and develop research competencies, strengthening their capacity for inquiry and action in future educational practice. It also welcomes graduates from other academic backgrounds who are interested in educational issues and aspire to pursue careers in education.

Faculty research expertise spans curriculum and instruction, educational psychology and sociocultural studies, science and STEAM education, with additional strengths in multicultural education, literacy, and teacher education. Faculty research also engages with interdisciplinary areas such as digital learning, artificial intelligence, creativity, and well-being, addressing emerging issues and developments in education and technology. This breadth of faculty expertise provides master’s students with rich opportunities to explore diverse research approaches, develop their professional interests, and engage in interdisciplinary learning.

Ph.D. Program of Education  (Curriculum and Instruction Group)

The Curriculum and Instruction track of the doctoral program is designed to cultivate educational researchers with the capacity for independent research and a broad international scholarly perspective. Through advanced study in educational theory, research methodology, and interdisciplinary inquiry, students are encouraged to develop their own research agendas grounded in curriculum and instruction, examine educational issues in depth, and use research to engage with educational practice and social change.

Our faculty engage in a broad range of educational research, connecting theory, empirical inquiry, and educational practice across areas such as cultural and social diversity, technology and education, and other emerging educational issues. This interdisciplinary environment supports doctoral students in refining their research interests, engaging in scholarly dialogue, and developing their academic identities.

The program places a strong emphasis on international academic engagement. Doctoral students are encouraged to participate in international conferences, present their research, and engage in cross-national academic exchange, broadening their understanding of diverse educational contexts and research traditions. Through research collaboration with faculty and participation in both domestic and international scholarly communities, students develop the capacity for independent research, scholarly communication, and active engagement in the international academic community.
